Join us for a relaxed Saturday morning walk through Haarlemmermeerse Bos — one of the largest green spaces around Hoofddorp, spanning around 115 hectares of forest, open fields and water. (Visit Haarlemmermeer) This is more than just a walk. It’s an opportunity to get outside, move your body, meet new people and build community. 🚶 All walking levels are welcome 🌳 Enjoy nature, fresh air and the beautiful surroundings 🤝 Meet people from different backgrounds 💬 Walk, talk and connect at your own pace ☕ Finish the morning with good conversation and, if people are up for it, a coffee nearby No pressure. No competition. Just good people, good energy and a few kilometres together. We are Watembezi. A walking club with a social agenda Objectives - To promote physical fitness and good health among our members. - To get rid of loneliness and social isolation. - To meet new people and create new friendships. - To share ideas and encourage collaborations between members. - To explore the Dutch nature spaces in all weather. - To develop a deeper connection with nature. - To provide a supportive, non-judgemental space for men to meet and talk. Frequency: Once a month on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Duration 2-3 hours -Either morning or afternoon. Average walk distance 10 km+ Who can join? Invited guests of members over the age of 18. Men over the age of 18 living in the Netherlands, looking to build community, improve mental health and stay active Membership and Participation Men only club The club will be run and managed by a leadership board on a voluntary basis. Membership will be registered and given membership numbers.
